Founded in 2024, we are a community of five brilliant Catholic schools across Hackney and Tower Hamlets: Cardinal Pole Catholic School, Bishop Challoner Catholic School, St Anne’s and Guardian Angels Catholic Primary School, St Monica’s Catholic Primary School and St Elizabeth Catholic Primary School.

Ms Jane Heffernan

CEO Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust

Ms Jane Heffernan has a long and varied career in education, with previous experience as a CEO and Executive Headteacher, working across both Hackney and Islington secondary schools where she led school improvement and provided support to schools with performance, budget and compliance issues.

As an Executive Headteacher and leadership mentor, she effectively developed skilled leaders, created leadership capacity, and prepared for their roles as Headteachers and senior leaders. Her work on school inclusion and the development of strong and sustained leadership was recognised by Hackney Education where she has contributed to the work of the Headteacher Group, Schools Forum and Scrutiny Committee.

Ms Heffernan is a member of the Hackney Falling Roles Working Group, Diocese of Westminster Education Committee and a trustee of the Hackney Hospice.

Mylene Joa Longartt

Mylene Joa Longartt is a passionate business leader with over 25 years of experience across both the public and private sectors, known for enhancing the strategic and operational effectiveness of organisations by leading and directing business improvement projects.

She is recognised for her unwavering commitment to excellence and her continuous pursuit of expanding knowledge and skills. Ms Joa Longartt attributes her success to a keen attention to detail and a strong passion for developing clear, logical, and efficient processes. She combines operational experience with strategic insight to ensure that exceptional outcomes are achieved through robust and transparent business practices.

Ms Joa Longartt is characterised by her positivity, enthusiasm, and strong organisational skills, demonstrating qualities of resilience, determination, work ethic, and integrity.
